Have you found your tribe yet? You know, where you can be yourself and people really ‘get’ who you are?
Or are you tribe hopping or in between tribes?
I’ve been attracted to many different communities over the years. Each one was a phenomenal place for me to share, connect and get to know other aspects of myself… these communities often felt like a sanctuary to me, a place where I could recharge, be supported or regroup myself before leaving that nest to spread my wings once again.
Just as you don’t stay in kindergarten, as much as you might have enjoyed being there, when the time is right, you move on to expand. This often means leaving behind some of the kids who were your friends… sometimes your paths cross again and others will remain a memory…
Having lived in quite a few countries over the years, I’ve experienced a similar thing during my flying career and in the expat communities. People come and go… the times you share can be super intense, deep bonding and then… they or you fly off again to the next destination;)
This separation can be really painful… it can lead to a fear of once again committing, of being intimate with others, letting your true self be seen… and yet…the gold from those cherished times of bonding somehow leads you to give it another go, right?
I don’t know about you but I see so many people staying somewhere when it is no longer resonating just because they have been there so long and are loyal… yet loyal to whom?…
Staying anywhere out of obligation, draining your energy and zapping the joy right out of you, is not serving anyone.Whether this is staying in a relationship, career, toxic environment…
The funny thing is that if you have the courage to follow your own path that you may find others have been waiting for you to do so and will shift with you.
Yet… what do you do if you haven’t found your new tribe yet?
This is where I see the power of social media connecting people from all over the world, having virtual tribes where you can share and be amongst those of like vibration.
Many people are meeting in this way and finding these connections are sustenance for the soul, especially when there aren’t (m)any people in your life at the moment with whom you can be in this way.
If you can’t seem to find any tribe or community which resonates with you at this time… then create your own!
If you dare to be real, to show your authentic self, share what moves you, lights your fire ( even if people may think you’re crazy) and let others in on your heart’s deepest desires and dreams… you will attract those who resonate with you.
As I’ve been shedding the layers of old masks I have worn since childhood in order to fit in, it feels as if the real me has been born.
I feel vulnerable and exposed… I no longer resonate with some people, communities or places I felt a deep connection with before, although the love remains in my heart.
It is even showing up in my living arrangements! The apartment I’ve been in the last 2 years is being sold and I am moving. Destination as yet unknown…
Yet, as I am showing up as the Divine spark of joy that I know myself to be, the most amazing people are showing up in my life! A new tribe is forming… how about you?
joyful blessings,
Tina
